Resident Internal psychologist (PIR) refers to the road of training of postgrado, essentially practical, elaborated and developed jointly by the Ministries of Health and Consumption, and Education and Culture, with a length of 4 years, in period of residence, to obtain the title of Psychologist Specialist in Clinical Psychology (Royal decree 2490/1998) that exists in Spain from the year 1993, demanded to work like psychologist in the field of the public health and that also demands in the private exercise. The PIR would be the equivalent in psychology to the MIR in medicine. It began to be developed and implanted in the field of some Autonomous Communities in 1983, concretely in Asturias and Andalucia, ah later to the State field. Only the psychologists with the title of Specialist in Clinical Psychology are enabled to exert in the field of the National System of Health, Law 44/2003 of Ordination of Sanitary Professions (LOPS) of 2003 corresponding to the category of Facultativo Specialist of Area (F.And.To.) From 2011, it creates the figure of the Sanitary General Psychologist (PGS) and the máster official in Sanitary Psychology oriented to obtain the title mentioned .〔()〕 This qualifies to exert to psychologists graduates/graduated in the sanitary field deprived with generalcharacter or no skilled: The condition of Sanitary General Psychologist does not enable to carry out skilled interventions, that would correspond to the Psychologist Specialist in Clinical Psychology. The functions, according to the law, of the Sanitary General Psychologist are: “...The realisation of investigations, evaluations and psychological interventions on those appearances of the behaviour and the activity of the people that influence in the promotion and improvement of the general state of his health, whenever said activities do not require a skilled attention”. This way it is established like a minimum requirement to exert the psychology like sanitary profession in the private field possessing the title of graduate/graduated in Psychology plus the official title of Máster in Sanitary General Psychology.
